The MR-FAT UAV Fourier transform infrared telemetry imager is a scanning gas infrared remote sensing telemetry instrument based on passive Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy technology. It can automatically detect and alarm target gas clouds and identify gases, providing semi-quantitative gas concentrations. Mounting this instrument on a drone enhances its maneuverability.
Infrared spectrum, also called molecular fingerprint, exhibits unique characteristics for different gas molecules. Most toxic and harmful gases have characteristic peaks in the long-wave infrared band. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy technology leverages these infrared spectral characteristics for gas detection and analysis.
Suitable for petrochemical, fire protection, chemical, and military applications requiring remote gas detection and analysis.
